Room 8 was created for the exhibition ZIN rondom de leegte ('MEANING in the face of the void') at the former barracks in Breda, the Netherlands.

The piece is based on an existing storage room for ammunition found at the barracks. Images filmed in the actual storage room and films made within a model of the space combine to create a dream-like reality. The flow of time measured by the sand is reversed.
